For example, the IS technique for our situation studies will decide serious powers, for example, section, the simplicity of passage into the authoritative market by different contenders, and whether they face some noteworthy boundaries. This will incorporate obstructions to showcase passage; danger of replacement, this will talk about whether there are specific administrations or items that can substitute the items and administrations of the association for our situation study; the bartering intensity of the purchasers, regardless of whether few customers are liable for most of the authoritative deals, and whether they can without much of a stretch switch providers; the haggling intensity of providers, whether the association have different providers and whether there are substitutes to be utilized; and contention among the right now existing contenders, the power of the contention among the contenders and the manner by which that contenders influence the capacity of the association to continue benefits. The created IS technique will manage the above powers in both our contextual analyses. As indicated by Mr. Doorman, a firm may take nonexclusive methodologies so as to make a lot of prevalent benefits. A portion of these procedures include: in general cost initiative, separation of items and administrations, and spotlight on the interesting needs of the buyers. It is subsequently important that associations clari fy technique decisions in their methodology. This is the thing that the execution of IS system is probably going to bring about the association. The paper will do this through outlining a writing audit, clarifying the two contextual investigations and afterward giving a finish of the contentions in the paper. The contextual investigations are of two distinctive data innovation firms that mean to address a genuine monetary hierarchical downturn and plan the cuts in the open area just as the financing. What would you do

What would you do What would you do? Check out this true, touching story and would you made the same choice like the other boys?At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?The audience was stilled by the query. The father continued. I believe that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped, comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child. Then he told the following story:Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, Do you think theyll let me play? Shays father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.Shays father approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, Were losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and well try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.Shay struggled over to the teams bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. His father watched with a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the fathers joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shays team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shays team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat. At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didnt even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball. However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shays life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball soft ly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher. The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game. Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first basemans head, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, Shay, run to first! Run to first! Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.Everyone yelled, Run to second, run to second! Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball, the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team. He could have thrown the ball to the se cond-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitchers intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-basemans head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way ShayShay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, Run to third! Shay, run to third! As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, Shay, run home! Run home! Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team. That day, said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world.Shay didnt make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his father so ha ppy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to make a difference. So many seemingly trivial interactions between two people present us with a choice:Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up those opportunities? A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats its least fortunate.Story submitted by Tina

Euthanasia Research Essay

The essay dedicated to the euthanasia is not a simple task for it requires you, the author, to properly think, thoroughly research and make objective statements on the issue. First thing to start the essay with is to define what euthanasia actually is. Euthanasia is about deliberate killing of an individual in order to spare him or her from facing more suffering and physical pain. Before you start writing, make certain to point out that this is a pretty controversial topic, which means there will be no final â€Å"yes† or â€Å"no† answer on whether euthanasia is morally and ethically correct. To narrow down your topic, make sure to take a particular side. This article is based on the research of the arguments that stand against euthanasia. If you do a little research, you will find out that euthanasia is against the famous Hippocratic Oath every doctor on Earth is supposed to follow. According to the Oath, the doctors have no right to get involved in killing of their patients. Medical personnel are the ones people trust the most important thing they have – their lives – which means they must do their best to help every human being to recover from their injuries and diseases. The Oath also gives a 100% assurance to the patients that they can trust their doctors. Thus, you can state that in case euthanasia is legalized, the Hippocratic Oath will turn into formality and the doctors will get the right to make use of euthanasia every time they face a difficult case. Another argument for you to base your research essay on is that euthanasia is, essentially, a homicide. Both the murder and euthanasia are about killing a human being with a tiny difference, which lies in consent and mercy involved in the practice of ending a life. If murder is illegal for the reason that people shouldn’t kill each other, euthanasia must be banned the same way because doctors actually do the same thing (even when there is consent from the family members or the patient). Lastly, euthanasia turns to be illogical as medical option because of numerous innovations that take place in the health care and medicine field. In other words, the doctors have no right and no excuse for not exerting every single effort to save their patients as they already are provided with an access to the most productive medicines, technologies and methods of treatment that prevent them from ending a life. Conclude your essay with a confident statement that, in accordance with your research, euthanasia must be banned because of the arguments provided above. Convince your readers that doctors have no right to give up the lives of their patients no matter how hopeless the case may be.

The novel is written by George Orwell and is told by a narrator in third person, and shows how communism operates and reflects upon the characters. The main characters in Animal Farm would make a list of: Napoleon (the big fat pig), Old Major (the boar), Snowball (Napoleon’s best friend, the white pig), Squealer (Napoleon’s side kick, the pig), boxer (the horse) and Benjamin (the donkey) as the rest being pigs and sheep etc. We will write a custom essay sample on Animal Farm: a Story Based on Communism or any similar topic only for you Order Now Napoleon would be the perfect specimen for being the key character to reveal George Orwell’s important warning or theme, which is that power, corrupts. Old major, gathers the animals of the Manor Farm for a meeting in the big barn. He tells them of a dream he has had in which all animals live together with no human beings to oppress or control them. He tells the animals that they must work toward such a paradise, and teaches them a song called â€Å"Beasts of England,† in which his dream vision is lyrically described. The animals greet Major’s vision with great enthusiasm. When he dies only three nights after the meeting, three younger pigs, Snowball, Napoleon, and Squealer, formulate his key principles into a philosophy called Animalism. Belatedly one night, the animals manage to overpower the farmer Mr. Jones in a battle, virtually forcing him to leave. They rename the property Animal Farm from Manor Farm and dedicate themselves to achieving Major’s dream. The carthorse Boxer devotes himself to the cause with particular fanaticism, committing his great strength to the success of the farm and adopting as a delicate maxim the support â€Å"I will work harder. Originally, Animal Farm prospers. Snowball is ever so determine to teach the animals to read, and Napoleon is the head of a group of youthful puppies to educate them in the ethics of Animalism. When Mr Jones shows unannounced to fight back for his farm, the animals defeat him once again, in what comes to be known as the Battle of the Cowshed, and take the farmer’s abandoned gun as a token of their victory. As time leads on, nevertheless, Napoleon and Snowball gradually hedge over the future of the farm, and they commence to find it hard with each other for power and influence amid the farm. Snowball concocts a scheme to build an electricity-generating windmill, except Napoleon firmly opposes the plan. When the meeting aroused for the vote on whether to take up the task, Snowball astounds everyone one with his speech. Even though Napoleon gives only a brief rejoin, he suddenly made a strange noise, and nine attack dogs, the puppies that Napoleon had confiscated in order to â€Å"educate†, rupture into the barn and hound Snowball from the farm. Napoleon ends up assuming leadership of Animal Farm while declaring to that will be the end for any meeting. From there on, he asserts, the pigs alone will make the decisions now onwards for the good of everyone. Napoleon ends up shifting his mind about the windmill and especially Boxer, and of course with all the animals going along with it, to devote their efforts to completing it. The windmill ended up falling down from a storm. The human farmers in the area thought that the animals made the walls too thin, due to the end result. Napoleon claims that Snowball came back to sabotage the windmill. He stages a great wash out during which animals who allegedly participates in Snowball’s great plan. In other words any animal who opposes Napoleon’s uncontested leadership, convene direct death at the teeth of the attack dogs. With his leadership not answered (Boxer has taken up a second maxim, Napoleon always being correct. Napoleon begins growing his powers, rewriting history to make Snowball a villain. Napoleon begins to act more like a human being, sleeping in a bed, drinking whisky, and engaging in trade farmers. The initial Animalist principles exactly forbade such activities, but Squealer, Napoleon’s propagandist, justifies the actions to the others, whilst convincing that Napoleon is a handy leader and makes everything better for everyone, despite the fact that the common animals are cold, hungry, and pushed too far. A neighboring farmer called Mr Frederick scams some timber and then attacks the farm and dynamites the windmill, in saying that the repair was expensive. After the demolition of the windmill, a slanting battle, when boxer cops major wounds. The animals rout the farmers, but Boxer’s injuries weakened him. When he falls whilst working on the windmill. All of a sudden, Boxer is nowhere to be found. According to Squealer, Boxer is in peace after being taken to the hospital, admiring the Rebellion with Boxers very last breath. In realism, Napoleon has sold his most loyal and long suffering worker to a glue maker in order to earn money for whisky. As time passes on the farm, the pigs become and eventually act like human beings likewise, walking upright, carrying whips, and wearing clothes. In the long run, the seven principles of Animalism, known as the Seven Commandments and decorated on the side of the barn, ends up being reduced to a single principle reading, â€Å"all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others†. Napoleon entertains a human farmer named Mr. Pilkington at a dinner and declares his intent to ally himself with the human farmers against the laboring classes of both the human and animal communities. Eventually Animal Farm is returned to the name being Manor Farm, claiming that Manor Farm is correct. Looking through the farmhouse window, the common animals can no longer figure for who are the pigs or the human beings. Animal Farm is mainly famous in the West as a stinging critique of the history and rhetoric of the Russian Revolution. Retelling the story of the emergence and development of Soviet communism in the form of an animal fable. How to cite Animal Farm: a Story Based on Communism, Papers

At this time of my life, I thought to myself, â€Å"I could afford to go back and my kids need me†. Then, I met my boyfriend and two and a half years later, I was pregnant with my second daughter Selena; and she is now twelve and in the sixth grade in middle school. After having Selena, I went from driving a school bus to being a police dispatcher for the Bristol Police Department. After working there for two years, I thought to myself, â€Å"I can’t work the third shift and working as a police dispatcher was a very stressful job†. So, I applied at the main office for the school department to become a secretary, although they were only hiring a sub-secretary. I immediately took the job; I wasn’t even considering school. Then, a few months passed and I was pregnant again with a beautiful baby boy named Dennis. Dennis is now six years old and in kindergarten. When he was born, I really did not have a job in mind, so I decided to start my own business by cleaning houses. This was the perfect job for me at the time because having a newborn, a six year old, and a twelve year old was a lot of work. It was very convenient for me to start house cleaning because I chose my hours. I was working two to three hours a day and was still available for my kids. At this point of my life that I still couldn’t go back to school. One day, I decided to apply for a job on the third shift because I needed the extra money and it would be convenient for my kids and I. Working at Atria in Portsmouth required me to tend to elderly people. The most important thing to me is caring for the residence. I enjoyed working there so much and it made me think that I could go back to school to become a CNA, or even become a nurse. During the summer of 2012, I thought, â€Å"What am I doing with my life? † I was cleaning houses and taking care of the elderly. I suddenly realized that my girls were older and my son was in kindergarten; it’s the perfect opportunity for me to accomplish my dream. So, I figured out my schedule so I would have plenty of time for work, school and my two youngest children. Finally, I thought to myself that I can go to school, get a degree, and maybe take my kids on vacation. Free Essays on The Triangle Of International Relations In Asia

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OF ASIA "This is the only region in the world where so many combinations and permutations of two- three and four- and even two plus four or three plus three- power games can be played on the regional chessboard with all their complexities and variations." introduction The concept of strategic geometry comprises the notion that that the interactions and interconnections between a number of political actors within a particular system of international relations, either global or regional can be seen in terms of geometric patterns of strategic configurations. It can be a case of simple geometry, in which A interacts with B: but in a more complex system such as that of Asia, with the presence of more than one major actor, each with their distinct, sometimes conflicting political agendas, the interaction between A and B will be likely to affect C or influenced by C. The concept of an international ‘system’ itself implies that events are not random, and units within the system are interrelated in some patterned way. This ‘patterning’ maybe envisaged or conceptualized as patterns of strategic geometry. Any attempt to analyze the transition from a Cold War system of international relations to a post Cold War one, will incorporate an analysis of the general nature of the system itself, in this case the system of international relations in Asia; of the actors involved and their respective roles; how changes in the political environment and in specific policies of the actors shape the evolution of a new system; and finally the nature of the new system with its own actors, their new roles, and new concerns. The concept of strategic geometry enables us to understand these changes in the political dynamics from one system to another, in our case the transition from the Cold War to the post Cold War era, by serving as an analytic tool. If we view the international relations of Asia, more and the interactions ...

Unit Plan Design - Essay Example By using a Webquest research project, the students will learn how the survival of organisms is affected by human activity, and seek ways to minimize this human impact on local populations. They will prepare a presentation to the conservation board of the area they come from whereby they provide a description of the needs of the species that they have been researching and provide practical and economically viable solutions that can guarantee its survival. There are five habits of learning taxonomy. These are: analysis which requires connecting, comparing and appraising data; synthesis which involves proposing, planning and formulation; evaluation which concerns predicting, assessing, supporting and defending; problem solving; and finally, thinking flexibly. There are numerous ways that two organisms can interact with one another: this could be parasite/host, predator/prey, or producer/consumer relationship. The organism can also decompose or scavenge another. There may be competitive or mutually beneficial relationships. Some species have adopted a symbiotic relationship, adapting to each other to the extent that neither can survive alone. Some ecosystems can be relatively stable over several thousands of years. There are environmental factors that hold in check the growth of any population of organisms. These include exhaustion of food or nesting sites or loss of numbers due to predation or diseases. In situation of disasters such as fire or floods, there is a high chance of the damaged ecosystem recovering in stages that finally lead to a system almost the same as the original ecosystem. Ecosystems seem to have recurring fluctuations around a state of rough equilibrium just like many other complex systems. Ultimately, the ecosystems change when there is change in climate or when more species are introduced as a result of migration or local evolution. The students will be given

Mt First Lovely Dog English Literature Essay

Mt First Lovely Dog English Literature Essay My father likes animals very much that he kept them since I was young. He had dogs. At that time, I was too young that I was afraid of them. I was small child and they were big monsters. So I didnt like them. But, my father tried to make me become familiar with them. So he used to gave me chances to touch the little baby dog. He brought the baby to me every night for 5~6 minutes. The Big dog was scared, but the little baby was very cute. However, One day, one accident happened to me. It was about noon. There was nobody but only me in my house because my parents went to work. It was nice day until the BIG my fathers dog appeared. The leash of her was cut! Although I knew that I shouldnt run away in front of dogs, but I was very shocked and frightened that I ran away. Surely she ran after me. But she ran just cause I ran. However I misunderstood she was about to bite me. I was too embarrassed that I fell down. The dog just passed me and disappeared. At that time, I was very shocked that I thought I had got bitten by her. And really there was a scar on my arm! But it was scare which is made by felling down to the ground. I could recognize it a few days ago. After that incident, I hated dog very much until my family moved to here. My father likes mother nature very much that we moved to country side when I was 8 years old. Here is really deep in the mountain that there is a few houses. So it is nice to keep animals. Then my father started to kept dogs again. At first, my father brought a little dog that I loved her. As Yeappi(the dogs name) became bigger and bigger, automatically I dont hate big dogs anymore. Every evenings, my father and me used to walked around with her. She liked run very much. And she was a good mother. When she raised her kids, she totally devoted herself. When she took care of her babies, they were the first important things to her. Guarding her babies was sure thing to her. If her baby excreted dongs, she ate it all to make it clean. And to delete the smell of baby from their enemy. I was moved to saw that. Also if it was very cold day, she dug the hole and moved her baby to there to make them warm. However she was also aggressive like other wild beasts. I loved rabbit that Once I had kept rabbit. When he was a little rabbit, I could had him in my room. But as he grew up, it became hard to. So my father decided to kept him next to Yeappis home. My father and I thought that it is very good idea. But as soon as Yeappi saw my rabbit, she changed wildly. She tried to kill him!! We were shocked and my father saved rabbit very quickly. But it was late. Already one of ears of rabbit was cut. Sadly, my rabbit had gone after 7days. At that time, I hated and blamed Yeappi for long times. But she wasnt aggressive to me that as time goes by I could forget that happening. By the way, My father isnt get along with a guy of neighbor. He is really ignoble. He tried to appeal his anger to not only my family but also Yeappi! He blamed and shouted to Yeappi whenever he passed her. Just because she was barking! Even he spitted to poor Yeappi!!! One night, I couldnt stand it anymore. It was almost midnight. That night, she barked loudly. So he came to Yeappi, threatened her with long stick with shouting. I got angry that I got off with my mom and had a fought with him. I said to him It is not a dog fault but our fault. Then you should visited my family, not dog. And you used to shouted to my dog with very foul words! How would you like somebody blamed you, If you were a dog? Surely you would hate him and bark at him, isnt you? Also Your method is wrong! You could solve this problem with us not dog! And you are very rude! Its almost midnight. Its too late, dont you know? You could visit us next morning! And then, I wanted to fought with him more, but my mom ma de me returned to home. And next morning, he made a trouble. Finally he destroyed Yeappis house! Oh my god. I hate that guy very much. He let off his anger to dog! Yeappi couldnt express her bad emotion except for barking. How could do that such a poor dog! I cant understand him and I dont want to understand him either!! Sadly, my father decided to let Yeappi go. I didnt want to do that, but I thought it is torture to Yeappi. So I agreed with him. Since then, I couldnt contact to her. I am really sorry to her. Author: GA-YUN 5B KO Posted Date: November 21, 2010 5:38 AM Last Modified Date: November 21, 2010 5:45 AM Status: Published Overall rating:   I have never raised cat, dog, rabbit, hamster and so on because my family, including me, do not like animals. I do not like animals. Frankly speaking, I hate animals. From little animals to an animal of huge size, I hate animals. Of course, I like to see cute puppy or lovely cat but it is just a eye candy. I feel repulsion toward animals. There are many reasons that I do not like animals. First reason that I do not like animals is fear. I am afraid of being bitten by animals. Dog, cat, rabbit, hamster and so on have sharp teeth. They have menacing teeth. Especially, big dog has huge jawbone and large teeth. It is very scary to look. Because of this, I do not want to go near them. Second reason that I do not like animals is hair. I do not like touch animals that have hair. It is terrible that I touch them or they touch me. It feels weird and odd. Also, when they move, their hairs are falling out. The hairs can trigger allergic reactions such as coughing and wheezing. Therefore no matter how cute an animal looks, I hardly like to stroke, pet and touch. Third reason that I do not like animals is dirt. Of course, family pets are clean but I think that animals that wander the streets are very dirty. They live streets so they are certainly filthy. Animals that wander the streets can not wash their bodies so they have the possibility that they have diseases. Also animals that wander the streets may have diseases that can transmit people. For example, people can be infected with rabies. We have to be careful of it. Because of this, I do not want to go near them. Fourth reason that I do not like animals is noise. Animals are very noisy. Animals make a noisy sound. Typical noisy animals are dog and cat. When dogs bark at a person, it is very noisy. And the sound can frighten a person to death. Furthermore, cats mew. Around the apartment building that I live in now, there are many cats. Every nights, they mew as a group. Cats sound like a baby crying. It is very horrible sound. Last reason that I do not like animals is my experience with animals. When I was young, my grandmother raised a dog. One day, the dog gave birth to two pups. The two puppies were very cute and lovely. Because I was young, I was bold. So I tried to bring the two puppies from their mother with no definite idea. Suddenly the mother dog attacked me to regain her babies. I was greatly surprised and I screamed loud. It was fortunate that I was not hurt but I was very shocked by her sudden action. From that day, I took a strong dislike to stroke, pet and touch animals. I became afraid of animals. That experience made me dislike animals. For these reasons, I do not like animals. Of course, I like to see cute puppy, lovely cat, little hamster and so on, but I do not want to touch them. I just want to see them. I do not want to go near animals. Author: HUI-YUN 5B LEE Posted Date: November 21, 2010 9:26 AM Last Modified Date: November 25, 2010 12:18 AM Status: Published Overall rating:   Animals are our friends! I like animals. Sometimes I find some animals at unexpected places and I get smiled. For example, I met rabbits accidently which were feeding on grass when I was exercising at Sara-bong. And when I climbed the Hala mountain, I heard dim sounds like something is passing. Soon I find a beautiful roe which was looking at me curiously. Also we can easily happen to meet dogs which help a man who is visually handicapped when crossing the street. In addition to these animals, there are various species of animals and our ecosystem consists of them.     However these animals are suffering from humans selfishness. Environmental disruption causes large temperature changes and ecological adaption. As results of them, many animals are threatened with extinction. Besides, indiscriminate poaching has placed many animal species in danger of extinction, too. For example, poachers capture many whales cruelly to commercial exploitation. And some people hunt animals like raccoons, rabbits, tigers or so,  then skin them and made a fur coat in the name of fashion. Crocodile is used for many accessories such as handbags, fashion belts and purses. Even dog meat is very popular and healthy food for some Koreans. Last year, I have watched a documentary called Tears of the Amazon. According to that,  Ã‚  some people in the Amazon also ruthlessly capture unique animals in Amazon and sell them off for a living and it made some species to disappear. We should stop being cruel to animals, because animals are on an equal footing with human being. Human has no right to determine other animals existence. Animals are our friends. We can easily understand it by imaging our selves in animals position. To build this kind of view of world, it is good for us to remind a Indian chiefs letter. In 1850, the Indian chief  wrote letters  to white mans who force Indian to yield possession of their land. How dare you buy and sell sky and land? We think it is very odd. We cant own sacred sky and twinkling water, how dare we sell it? All things of this land are sacred. We are the part of the land and land is part of us. Flowers are our sisters. And deer, horses, eagles are our brothers. A rocky mountain, wild flowers, pony and human are family. à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦We thought about your proposal to sell our land.  Ã‚  We  want to suggest  some conditions to you.  I have seen a lot of rotten water buffaloes which white people shoot and throw away. You have to serve animals in this land as your brothers. What is human being in the world without animals? If all animals are gone, human will die because of loneliness. All creations are related, so the thing which happened to animal can happen to human, too. Although we sell this land to you, love this as the way w e love it. Please protect and love this land sincerely for your sons and grandsons. As the Indian chief said, animals are our precious companion. They are precious just the way they are. They live not for human  but  for  themselves.  So we should protect them from our selfishness. We can take up a positive action  by starting from a little things. For example i can protect bird nest which is located near my balcony. Because protecting animals habitat is beginning of the love. And we can sometimes try some vegetarian diet while reminding of animals right to live. If we perform these little but important works, the relation between human and the other animals will be improved and go meaningful. I hope more animals to have their stable habitat and get a right to live their own life. For that, humans support is essential. You are a dog. And Im human. But that was not important. You were same as my family. Although you are no longer with me, Im still miss you. So I want to recollect memory with you through this forum. Do you remember when we met for the first time? Im eight years old that time. And you were just one months old small puppy. My family began to talk about your name. Finally we choose your name. It was Ban-di! It means a firefly in Korean. Because you have shiny golden hair we choose that name. I was excited because I lived you. But you were whining all night. It was because you were scared. I felt sorry for you. So I brought you to my room secretly. When I petted your fur, you went to sleep peacefully. After you went to sleep, I went to sleep near you, too. Although I was scolded by my parents (my parents doesnt allow to raise dog in the house because I have asthma), I was really happy because you could sleep peacefully. We have become close after the day. Even though we were different species, I felt you understood my feeling. When I was happy, you were glad with me. And when I was sad, you shared my sorrow. When I was crying, you come to my side quitely. Then you started lick my hands until I stop crying. It was a great consolation to me. I still miss your comfort when I get depressed. You were a very thoughtful dog. But you were also jealousy. I brought up you and other dog Buk at the same time. One day Buk gave birth to puppies. Puppies were so cute. So my familys attention was on newborn puppies. Than you became sulky. So you went up on the roof and never came down expect meal time. By than, I understood your mind. So I gave much attention to you. Only then you came down to the ground. Even now Im funny at the thought of it. It was jealousy but very cute behavior. Even though I brought up you, I was afraid of dogs which are not my pet. One day I met a strange dog on the way home from school. It was not far from my house. But I couldnt move because I was so frightened. I just screamed. Just at that moment you appeared! Although you were smaller than a strange dog, you barked fiercely. The dog ran away fortunately. You saved my life! Im so grateful to you. Now I write about our last day. It was a rainy day. Just as I was leaving home, you come to my side slowly. And you looked up at me. I told you to enter your house in fear of you got soaked in the rain. But you didnt enter your house. Instead, you looked up at me for a long time. Although your behavior was strange, I went to school so that I wouldnt be late. I received a text message from my father that day. The text messages runs thus. Ban-di went to heaven. Please pray for Ban-di. I burst into tears. I remembered your eyes that morning. I felt so sad I couldnt stop crying. It was for the first time that I lost my love ones. I cried my eyes out. So I took an early leave from school and went home. And I eventually absent from school next day. There were so many memories that we made together the tears didnt stop running. Ban-di. How is everything with you in heaven? I still miss you so much. I could never put into words how much I miss you. Even though we lived together almost ten years, it seems to take more than ten years to forget you. No. I cant never forget you. We wont live together any more, I will cherish every moment we have been together. Ban-di! Please take care in haven. I love you so much! from your unforgettable family, Ji-hae. Author: JI-WON 5B HUH Posted Date: November 21, 2010 7:06 AM Status: Published Overall rating:   I like seeing animals in zoo. And I also like to go aquarium and see many kinds of fish or to watch a dolphin show. But I cant keep animals. Because I cannot touch or go near animals, even small. And Im afraid of animals like dogs, chickens, ducks, and so on. Im particularly scared to go near dogs. There was experience about this. When I went my aunts house during Chu-seok, there was a big dog. A dog was kept on a lead. So I tried to go near the dog with my cousin. But I failed because of dogs barking. And there are another experience about dogs. In last summer, I went my friends house to play with her. But there were two dogs, too. And because my friend knew that Im very scared of dogs, she saved me from dogs. So I could enter her home safely. But the problem occurred when I came home. When I came out from her house, like before, she tried to save me from her dogs. But she failed and two dogs surrounded me. And I was too fearful because two dogs reached my legs. In the end, I cried. Like these, Im very scared of dogs. So I hope that Im not scared and I can touch dogs someday. Because Im scared of dogs, not dislike or hate.  And because of fear of animals,  I was indifferent to animals and I dont like chat about animals. By the way, these days I take more interest in animals. After I watched two articles through internet about animal abuse, I changed my mind. One is The death of Maltese, and the other is The Cat, Eun-bi incident. First, The death of Maltese was that after Maltese dog was born, it breed for ten years, because of his owner for making money. Because the owner forced him to breed, Maltese eventually become ill terribly. And the owner left him alone, Maltese was died in the end. And The Cat, Eun-bi incident was similar the story of Maltese. In one efficiency apartment, a woman in twenties hit her cat severely and throw it outside the window. I was very shocked by reading them. And I also feel terrible after watching them. Frankly speaking, I was very angry that people act that. The owner of Maltese was very selfish and greedy. Also it was wrong act that Eun-bis owner teased the cat. Thinking, it is natural that we should not do such acts. And such conducts are unacceptable. But whats the idea of the such acts and why do that? I saw one comment in article. People are the most important than any others. So what is the problem? This comment makes me angry and I felt ashamed as a person. And it does not make sense. Because animals have the rights and it is not important thing that who is more important. And animals are living things, not our toys. And after seeing two articles, I thought carefully about animals rights. I think that animals have the rights. I read in a book that in Korea, differently other nations, there are some people that kill pets or wild animals mercilessly. Nevertheless these people werent punished or were punished lightly for these acts. So some people have no regard for mistreating animals. Therefore we need to prepare bills and protect animals from animal cruelty. And I wish that animal abuse no more occur. Along with this I hope that Im not scared and I can touch animals as soon as possible. Tags:   None Reply Quote Mark as Read Thread: My lovely pet Pump. Post: My lovely pet Pump. Author: MI-HWA 5B KIM Posted Date: November 21, 2010 2:07 PM Status: Published Overall rating:   My lovely pet Pump. Since I was a child, I loved animals. I thought that animals is very cute. So I wanted to raise animal. But my parents did not like animals. Therefore they refused my request. When I saw dogs and cats, always I wanted to pat dogs and cats. Meanwhile I became a second year in middle school. I went to my friend house, that time I saw a animal. This animal was very cute and tiny. This animal seemed like mouse. My friend introduced her pet. This animal is included species of hamster. Since that time, I dreamed about raising hamster all day. So I pressed my parents. But they refused my request. When I went to home after school, I tried to persuade my parents every day. After all my parents permitted my request. My parents suggested some rules. First I raised hamster and cleaned hamster`s fur. Second I did not bother hamster. Final I paid entire cost about hamster. So I had saved pocket money for a few months. And I brought a hamster. I called my pet Pump. Only I saw the Pump that I felt happy. I had trouble to take care of my pet because I raised pet first and I did not understand what my pet wants. One day I did not know that my pet was hurt. A few days later my hamster walked lame. I was surprised and shocked. Right now I took my hamster to animal hospital. Veterinarian said If this hamster not treated, it walk lame hamster`s whole life. I was so sorry. While we spent a year, we had a happy times. One day, when I went to home after school, I had a strange sensation. So I wanted to go home as fast as I could. When I arrived home, I saw the hamster. The hamster was lying on the bottom. I thought that Pump was sleeping. But Pump groaned with pain. I was embarrassed. I did not know that what I have to do. I took my hamster to animal hospital as fast as I could. Veterinarian said Hamster is tiny and weakly animal. So hamster is susceptible to colds. If hamster catch a cold, hamster can die. I am not sure that this hamster treat completely. I received drug and took my hamster to home. I kept my hamster drugged. And I waited that Pump would get the better of sickness.Suddenly Pump groaned with pain again. Anything to took the pain away from my hamster. Just I could pray for my hamster. But the pray did not work well. My lovely pet died. I cried all day and I could not eat anything. People said Forget the hamster. And you buy any other hams ter. I did not agree their opinion. My pet pump is not the same other hamsters. We spent precious time had delightful memories. I was changed because of this happening. Frankly speaking I do not understand animal rights before I raise my pet. Now I think that animals also have valuable life as people. Sometimes, people think that people have power and strong than animals. So they ignore animal`s right and bully the weak animals. I think that this thought is very wrong. If I did not raised my pet, I do not think animal`s rights. Sometimes I think Pump. Until I miss Pump. Once in a while I think that I want to raise pet. But when Pump died, I was in so much pain and I was so sad. If I raise pet again, Sometime I will see death of pet. Therefore I am little scared. I think that I can not raise any other animal. One is scare. The other is pity.     First, Im scared of animals. Especially, dogs. I dont know why Im scared of them. When I was 7 years old, I had been walking along the street nearby my house. At that time, I heard tinkling of a bell. I thought that maybe this sound is bell of dog collar. After a while, I could see a dog. That dog was skinny and had sharp eyes. I was very scared. Because there were just I and dog on the narrow path. So unconsciously I started to run. Then, a dog also started to chase me. I ran fast desperately, as fast as I could. But the dogs speed was very fast. So I was almost bitten by that dog. I barely get out dog by hiding in a neighbors house.     Also, Im scared of cats. Because cats have dreadful eyes. So I cant stare at cats for a long time. And cats are very fast. So cat suddenly appear and disappear in my sight. Besides, cat did not avoid human these days while cat in last days were scared of human and avoided us. When I see picture or TV scene of animal, I say, Oh, what a cute! That animal is very pretty. But if I really meet animal, I feel scary. And my best friend have a pet dog. That dogs name is BOM. BOM is little big but he is very cute. He wag his tail when my friend come back home. That behavior is lovely. So, sometimes I want to have a pet. Therefore I decided to have a pet, hedgehog. I thought that hedgehog is small, cute, pretty and charming. I collected many information about hedgehog like picture, food, lifespan and way to keep them. I eagerly anticipated hedgehog. But when I saw really hedgehog, I was sad. They were very cute and charming as expected. But I was scared of them. So I failed to have a hedgehog.   Second, I feel pity for animals. Especially, abandoned dogs in street and animals that living in zoo. People irresponsibly abandon their pets. So abandoned pets wander around street. They cant bath and eat any food. So they get dirty, have diseases and finally they die. And I feel pity for animals that living in zoo. When I was 10 years old, I went to the zoo for the first time. At that time, I was very excited and I think that animals were cute. But I went to the zoo in middle school student, I wasnt excited. Because animals of zoo have living in cage. So they cant have freedom. And they have hard training for visitor. I feel pity for them.   In 4 years ago, I went to the Thailand. In there, I rode a big elephant on back of elephant. And trainer rode on neck of elephant. Riding elephant was very exciting. But I saw the trainer have a hook and threatened to elephant for prevent people can hurt by elephant running fast or stand up. At that moment, I felt very sad and angry to trainer.   Still, Im scared of animals. But I think human and animals are partners that living together. So I want to try to get rid of my fear to animals. And I hope that trainer can realize their behavior like threatening to elephants is terrible. Besides, I really want pet owners to keep their pets to the end and raise them by loving heart. Because I dont want to see abandoned pets anymore. Finally, I wish have a lovely pet. I will challenge to raise a pet. Tags:   None Reply Quote Mark as Read Thread: change!!!!! Post: change!!!!! Because my grandfather love animals. So my grandfather raised pets, chickens. I went to the grandfathers house, I played with animal. And my grandfather even raised dears. When my grandfather told about raising deer, my family opposed. But my grandfather was stubborn. Finally my family tired and allow that. Then I wanted to know why adult did not like raising deer. Because I was happy, when I listened my grandfather raise deer. Just, I was happy that I have new friend. This mind that I like animals continue to elementary school. Because she dindt shower since pipi came my house. pipi was dirty. But I loved her. But pipi escaped house. So I cried two days. So I dont have growing animals. Because I have feared that my pet will die or escape. But I want to grow baby dog now. While I watched TV program, I think many thing. Life that communicate pet is very beautiful. And life with pet doesnt alone. Im happy. Because I am ready to grow pet. In fact, one year ago I dont grow any animals. But I can pet again now. Animal can not tell. So I think that we protect animal and love them. So I dont understand person that throw away their pet. Think about pets hurt. And I think that owner have to have a sense of responsibility. And there were many stray dogs in Korea. This stray dog will die in seven days. So I am very surprise. Because stray dog is very poor dog. So I think that need public policy that more protect stray dog. Project Manager Roles and Responsibilities Essay

The Project Manager is the person responsible for developing, in conjunction with the Project Sponsor, a definition of the project. The Project Manager then ensures that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard (within agreed specifications). He/she ensures the project has sufficient resources and manages relationships with a wide range of groups (including all project contributors). The Project Manager is also responsible for managing the work of consultants, allocating and utilizing resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful team. Additional responsibilities include: managing and leading the project team,  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   recruiting project staff and consultants, managing co-ordination between the partners and working groups engaged in project work, detailed project planning and control. Control would incorporate: Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan. Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan. Maintaining records of and managing project issues. Resolving conflicts at project level. Managing project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary. Monitoring project progress and performance. Providing status reports to the project sponsor. Managing project training within the defined budget. Liaison with, and updates on progress to, the project steering board/senior management. Managing project evaluation and dissemination activities. Managing consultancy input within the defined budget. Final approval of the design specification. Working closely with users to ensure the project meets business needs. Definition and management of : â€Å"User Acceptance Testing† stage. Identifying user training needs and devising and managing user training programmes. As an illustration of the roles and responsibilities of a Project manager, I am going to use the simple example of changing the wheel of a car with one person in charge (project manager). In the exposition that follows, the steps followed will be under the headlines of the five essential ones outlined in the PMBOK: Initiating The initiating stage in replacing a punctured car-wheel is the process of preparing to replace the wheel. To begin with, the project manager, or whoever is overseeing the operation, ensures that all the tools necessary for the job are available. The tools necessary in this case would comprise the jerk, wheel spanner, the unique key-for some car models, maybe some props such as stones where there is a possibility of the car slipping downhill and finally, labor. Planning   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Once the initiating stage is completed, we move on to the planning stage whereby different strategies are proposed and quickly debated with one being agreed upon. The role of the project manager in this stage is to ensure that everyone is given an opportunity to express their opinions on how best to approach the problem. Then, he/she should harmonize every participant’s views and in cases if the group cannot reach a resolution unanimously, he/she should apply his/her critical thinking abilities and skills in choosing the most reasonable approach that would be most efficient, effective and feasible. The planning would entail deciding which nuts to unscrew first e.g. diagonally, where to place the jerk and the props and where to put the tools and nuts in such a manner as to ensure they don’t get lost or pose a hazard to any of the team members. The Plan will also incorporate delegation of duties amongst the team members i.e. deciding who will place the jerk, who will unscrew the nuts, who will carry the spare wheel, and who will screw the new wheel back. The delegation of duties should be fair such that no member feels exploited or alienated and it is the work of the project manager to study everyone’s character and tell who is suited best for what. The final parts of the plan involve training participants as necessary, scheduling everything, and monitoring progress. Executing or Implementation   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   After initiating and planning, finally the time comes to put the plan into action. During this stage, the team implements the strategy decided upon with a view to achieving the intended objective. The team removes the bad wheel and replaces it with one that is in good condition. The work of the project manager is to ensure that each participant plays his/ her assigned role and that the operation goes according to plan by correcting any digressions and getting rid of any impediments that might arise in the course of the implementation. Controlling and Monitoring   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   As to controlling and monitoring, this entails putting measures in place in anticipation of pitfalls during the process of implementing the plan. Pitfalls to be anticipated might include: some members do not like the roles they are assigned and so they don’t play their roles with the necessary devotion. Also it is possible   that some members might want to sabotage the project for any of a number of reasons or one of the tools gets damaged and cannot be repaired in time for the work at hand. To avoid alienation, the project manager should make every member feel as though they own the project and when it succeeds the glory will be shared and the benefits mutual. In addition, the project manager has the responsibility of ensuring that, if a member were assigned a role he/she does not like, they are free to voice their concerns so that a speedy resolution is sought. The speedy resolution could be training or instruction where a member is assigned work they do not know how to do. Alternatively, members could swap roles to resolve any stalemates. Finally, a backup plan should be in place to cater for unanticipated hitches. Closing   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   In finishing up, the project manager should ensure the team tightens the nuts to the required extent and remove the jerk and props. He/she should also ensure that any member who sustains any injury should be attended to and all the tools-wheel spanners, jerk, props, key- together with the bad wheel are all returned and checked to ensure they are in good condition, then put in their respective places of storage. Communication System in Bd Essay

Communication system denotes the ways and means of movement of people and goods from one place to another inside a country and outside it as well. In other words it refers to the transport facilities that are available to people for traveling and carrying goods. It includes both the vehicles and the ways used by them. The history of the development of transport shows how people have been trying from prehistoric times to use more and more advanced types of transport thereby replacing the traditional means of conveyance. In modern times knowledge of science and technology came in a big way to help people to devise ways and means quicken and more comfortable movement of men and goods mot only on land and water but also in the air. Thus the vehicles that ply on land and water as well as in the air in a country to connect different place, far and near, constitute its communication system. The communication system greatly helps to set up towns, cities and trading centers, to introduce new tools and technology in agriculture and industry and to disseminate new knowledge and ideas. The communication system in a country in one of its most essential infrastructures required for its development. Train as one of the land communication system of Bangladesh Bangladesh Railway Conditions In Bangladesh : The communication system in Bangladesh is quite unenviable. Because of a large number of rivers crisscrossing it, building roads and highways, railways and bridges in all its parts has not been feasible. This is why, traditional country boats still serve as the most useful means of transport and communication. Besides, the economic condition of our country also does not allow mass mechanization of transport. Consequently we still see Bullock and Buffalo carts lumbering on the dirt roads of many parts of Bangladesh. Therefore, geographical and economic conditions are important factors which often determine whether a country will continue to use its traditional communication system or introduce modern transport. But now a days every country tries to modernize its transport system as far as possible, because modern transport holds out better prospects for development of a nation. Thus of late, Bangladesh has also made phenomenal development in its communication system. Ancient land communication system of Bangladesh Man using Bullock Carts Source: my own photo album A man push a cart for transporting goods Source: my own photo album Land Communication : The land communication has been tremendously developed in recent year in Bangladesh. A large numbers of roads and highways have been constructed throughout the country connecting all the districts. Besides, many old dirt roads have been metaled in all the areas of the country. Thus people can travel anywhere by bus and transport their goods by truck. Besides, construction of some bridges over different rivers have greatly improved the system of communication by land. All these have enormously facilitated the movement of heavy motor vehicles in all parts of the country. In addition to private motor vehicles owner Associations, there is also Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation of the Government. Thus both the private sector and the public sector are working side by side to carry men and goods across the country. But, Bangladesh railway is still the single largest means of land communication in Bangladesh. In recent times after the construction of theJamuna Bridge the railway communication has been revolutionized. Newer plans are also being taken up to expand and modernize the Bangladesh railway service. It is taken care of by the Bangladesh Railway Board. Boat as the water communication system of Bangladesh Source: my own photo album Water Communication : There are many large and small rivers as well as lake in Bangladesh which are an important factor for communication. Numerous motor launches and shifts ply on these rivers carrying a large number of passengers as well as a large volume of cargo. They connect the far-flung areas of the country with one another as well as the capital city. The international sea-ports and the internal rivers ports render a great deal of service in conducting trade and commerce of the country. The transport facilities available in the water ways of Bangladesh play a dominate role in its communication system. The internal water transport facilities are looked after by the Bangladesh Internal Water Transport Authority. The Bangladesh Biman operates a large good number of internal and international flights which can transport a lot of passengers and cargo. The capital city is connected with Chittagong, Sylhet, Jessore and other places by air. This contributes a great deal to the development of the trade and commerce of the country and quick movement of the people from one place to another. In its communication system Bangladesh has a remarkable network of land transport, water transport and air transport. But the system tells a sad tale. Road accidents and motor launch accidents are very common events in Bangladesh. More often than not, these accidents which take a heavy toll of life make sensational head lines in daily news paper every now and then. Unfit and outdated vehicles as well as reckless drivers and crew are mainly responsible for these accidents. Steps should be taken to ensure safe travel and the whole system should be modernized to provide comfortable communication facilities to the people.
